Does it turn on and off by itself?
Yes — a built-in light sensor switches it ON automatically at dusk and OFF at dawn every day, and it recharges its battery during the daytime so it is always ready for the next power cut.
Is 3 hours enough?
3 hours at full brightness covers most outages; after that it dims to keep glowing longer, and recharges as soon as mains returns. We quote the honest full-brightness figure, not an inflated dimmed total.
Why LiFePO4 and not ordinary lithium-ion?
A pole light charges and drains every day in outdoor heat. LiFePO4 handles thousands of cycles and is far safer in heat; cheaper lithium-ion fades within a couple of summers.
